December in the Library

This month’s library theme is Warm Up With A Good Book.  Our highlighted author is Eileen Spinelli.  Mrs. Spinelli is a talented and prolific author.  In addition to the author study we will explore winter holidays, shared customs and traditions, and animal adaptations with fiction and non-fiction pairings.

The students will be able to check out a Lonely Book to review.  Writing a review can help a student with comprehension and allows each student to evaluate and respond to literature using a personal perspective.  Lonely Books also allow students to have extra reading material over our winter breaks.

Please encourage your child to take good care of his or her library book.  Using a library gives us opportunities to learn and practice traits of good citizenship.   Part of being a good library citizen is taking care of the material and returning it on time.  Thank you for helping to protect our school resources.
